i got a 94 mazda mx3 my dash and tail light dont work?

i also noticed my dash light dimmer switch is melted could this cause the lights to not go on all bulbs and fuses are good
i just bought the car some one had a few extra neon light hooked up to the switch so im thinkin those were what caused it so i took all them off and took the switch out til i get another one

if the switch is melted you may have a short in the wiring harness, look around for damaged wires or burn marks in areas that the harness may come in contact with metal.

Yup that's your problem. At least disconnect it so it dose`nt catch fire.
