I am a Canadian truck driver and to answer your question...Commercial Vehicle Regulations are far different than those of Passenger vehicles. Your Commercial Vehicle infringements from roadside inspections or scales will show under a seperate entity than those of a passenger vehicle. Secondly, there are no points associated with commercial vehicles in regards to unadjusted brakes. Commercial Vehicle unadjusted brakes will fall under the Commercial Vehicle Regulations. If however, for example, you were speeding on a highway, then you would fall under the Highway Traffic Act or Motor Vehicle Act and be penalized "points"...if they have them in California. In Canada they do and this is how it works.
