I drive a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. The key I have is from the dealer I bought from I use the same key to open my car door and to start my car. When I open the car door, I can put the key in anyway to open it up. However, the spare key that Wal-Mart made for me must be a specific way when I try to unlock my car doors. The original key I can put it in the door's lock to unlock it. When the spare key doesn't open the door, I just flip the key around and it works. I have to do it that way each time. If it is a copied key, why should this be happening?
I want to make sure my question is clear. Basically, the spare key works fine - I just to have it inserted a specific way each time. If i put the key in and it doesn't work, then I just flip it around and it works. with the original key i don't have this problem. what's wrong with the spare key? Wal-mart made it for me. The teeth appear to be the same.
