I hate Christmass.

One of my children still believes in Father Christmas - it's probably going to be the last year that she does ...... she's 27.

Anyway, this still makes Christmas that little bit 'magical' in our household.

Cheers.

Xmas RAWKS

Sharing gifts with the people I care for.

Watching my kids open their loot.

Good food and goodwill.

The same old reruns on the TV.

ok - scratch that last one

Xmas RAWKS

Eating my bodyweight in turkey, roast potatoes and various goodies
Drinking constantly
Getting prezies
What's not to like?

Love the food, iffy about spending time with some of my relatives but they're generally not too bad, too much driving, too much to do, finding presents for people and trying to help people with presents for me...

Christmas shopping, hate that bit.

Quite like the thing itself, can't stand the preparation.

I love Christmas. Good food, nice gifts, cold outside but warm and cozy inside. Christmas lights everything. One can enjoy a cup of tea with a good book without having to worry about work or studies.

Oh, and I have to add the traditional Christmas mass from Vatican. I watch it on tv every year.

Best time of the year.

Panto season!

We go to 3 or 4 every Xmas.

We are going to our first one this afternoon. Booked in April, usual seats - middle of the front row.

He's behind you!
Oh no he isn't.
Oh yes he is.
Oh no he isn't
Oh yes he is ......

I love Crimbo!

Back to basics with the family and English grub.

Perfect if you ask me

Girl Power,

I've no tree up, No decorations and I've not even put the cards up on display as I hate christmas too. Then should ban the whole lot (where's a devilish smiley when you want one lol)
lisa xx

I've got two cards on display at work, one's a winter solstice card with a spell of protection from a friend of mine, the other's this one...I work in a Christian school, and I've been getting odd looks.

Now that's really funny, I'm sorry for laughing but the card's brilliant and would to love where your friend got it from as we don't have any shops where we live which sell craft things unless we go out to Nottingham.

I wish I could be a fly on the wall to find out what they think of your cards being in a Christain school, they might be praying for you (I'm sorry christains but it's what I would have done in the past lol).

That's a nice card and all, though I don't quite understand the symbology, if applicable, at all. The winter solstice one is cool, though.

I love the spirit of the season. Good will toward your fellows. However I hate the mass marketing that begins in early August through early August the following year. Have a great season all. Blessed Be!

Wow!! I am pleasantly suprised!! I was afraid this was going to end up being a big slam on the holiday season. A big cheer to all of you that see past the commercial aspects. The holidays rock!! Just the very idea behind them is enough to make them good - joy, peace, etc. Right on.

Aye, I just largely ignore it.

I know "it's" been in the shops since about August, but Inever get into the spirit until the weekend before Xmas.

Oh yes you do!
Oh no I don't!
Oh yes you do!
Oh no ......

I don't mind Christmas - I don't go overboard on celebrating but my favourite bits are:
Driving round the neighbourhood and laughing at the ridiculous lights and decorations some people put up
Eating and drinking
Trying to beat my brother at Monopoly
Christmas specials on the telly
Time off work
Opening presents and seeing others open theirs
Walking the family dog in the woods in the morning before breakfast and...
Seeing the dog's tail wagging frantically as she rips open her "wrapped" present of a toy or food.

Now, new years eve I hate...anyone else with me there? I'd like to start a campaign right here and now to reschedule it for mid June/July so that I'm not freezing my **** off and trying to look like I'm having a good time paying to drink in the local pub etc.
