I hate Christmass.

I always feel out of place on Christmas. I just can't get into the feel of it all. It would be easier for me if Christmas didn't exist, but everyone else seems to love it, so I'll just suck it up that one day a year and let everyone else be happy.

I like christmas. I just don't like going to South Carolina for christmas. I always get sick in South Carolina . But christmas here is fun.

I never once got what I wanted for christmass, insted I got cloths, and stuff, always stuff. Pointless stuff that I did not like. It was one day that I had to spend eating with family. It has always left me traped. I have to pretend like I am having a good time, eating food that might as well be served in boot camp. Annoying songs, all around, my personal space taken up by christmass decorations, and no time to sit down and write becouse no one would believe that I had a 80 page story due for class. Then there is the worst offence. I interfed with TKD tranning. What is to like?

I guess it all depends on the family. I love Christmas. Especially when I get a preseant for my little brothers. I love watching them get excited when I get a good one. I like my family.

Anyways, a merry bah humbug to you.

Don't worry about getting what you wanted and concentrate on figuring out the right things to get for someone else.

Prepare some of the food yourself and you wont have so much to complain about. I know all of our family fuctions, both sides of the family, have food fit for a king and enough to feed half the city. Which always means awesome leftover hot turkey sandwich and turkey soup. I love it.

Christmas carols I'm with you there - don't like most of them. But throw on some Nora Jones (or Tchaikovsky, or whatever suits your tastes), light some candles and chill with your loved ones.

Time off from TKD? There are more important things besides martial arts, surprisingly. The most important of those would be your family. You'll learn to love em. And TKD ain't going anywhere! It'll still be there after Christmas.

:-)

The only thing I ever wanted for chritmass is a family member. She is long dead, but she is the one thing that I have always wanted for christmass, even before she died, she was never there.

Exactly what happens to me, and that is exactly how I feel. The false happiness and holiday cheer is what I can't stand. And the turkey is ALWAYS dry. I dont care who makes it and how, it always is. And everyone lies on both thanksgiving and christmas, because the cook always asks "isn't it juicy this year?" and everyone, like they are programmed to lie, replies "Ohhh I could drink this piece it's so juicy" Well, I say, enough is enough. I refuse to lie about it this year. (already said it at Thanksgiving, but in a nice way)
AND I SWEAR IF I HEAR JINGLE BELL ROCK ONE MORE TIME, I'M GONNA STRANGLE THE DJ

Merry Christmas everyone (again with the false happiness )

Christmas is bittersweet for me. While I love my boys and family, I miss some others who are gone. Merry Christmas to everyone though. I hope everyone is warm and safe and with whomever it is that you love the most.

I love the whole receiving gifts thing (don't worry, I love giving them too). I just think that my family in particular has blown it out of proportion. Way too many things under the tree this year. I can't imagine how much we spent (umm I mean how much she spent).

Normally, I'm not much for Christmas, but this year it's a little different, this year I'm stuck going to my gf's house for Christmas, so not only will she have to put up with her family for Christmas day, she'll have to put up with mine on Christmas eve. I'm kind of excited, but she's kind of nervous, but i hope everything works out fine.

What happened to looking on the bright side of life?

It's a time to just smile and put aside all the crap that's been hanging over your shoulder. It's not about the presents, it's about being happy and enjoying what you do have.

Going home to visit my folks;

Early morning walks or runs through the huge forest that covers the area where I grew up which is especially beautiful at 7am and much more so on those increasingly rare occasions when it snows and the world is just black and white;

Chugging a few beers with the old man with whom I am now friends after years of not really seeing eye to eye;

Giving my five year old nephew presents I know he'll enjoy (this year' will be a big hit I'm sure);

Annoying my Dad's dog;

Getting loads of largely useless presents that I can't get home through the underground nor have anywhere to put them in my tiny flat, but my mother insists on buying with all a mothers' love and lack of practicality;

Eating myself stupid and spending all of January burning it off;

Watching crap on the TV with my dad changing channels every two minutes (although given the nature of the programmes on the telly nowadays, this doesn't really spoil anything);

Not going to work;

If you can get past the commercialised sh**, it has its good points...

Enjoy it, wherever you are
