I hate my future MIL. Is there anything I can do to ease the pain?

My future MIL is a total psychopath. I cannot stand to be around her and she still doesn't get the hint. She's about emotionally developed as a child. Is there any way I can get her to understand that I do not like her, I do not want to be friends with her, and that I will not see her as a mother nor will I ever be able to call her such?
 
you can invent a remote control to either MUTE her, fast foward the time you have to see her, or skip chapters. its what im planning to do with my life right now
 
Identify the problem and try to find ways to work with and around it. Remember in his eyes, she's more important than you and will be!
 
You need to be civil but I have been your shoes believe me don't live in the same town and do what you have to get through family functions or just send your husband my sympathies to you
