I have a 1986 Chevy S-10 pickup truck with a 2.5 in it that has a loud knocking

noise, can someone help? The motor has a loud knocking noise. I dont believe it is a rod because it does not knock or rattle when it is started first thing in the morning. The motor runs great just really noisy
The rattle doesnt get consistently noisy when you rev the engine at all. I have been told timing gears possibly

check oil level..
if i lived next door to you i would certainly help you on this.but....
well, you need to bring it to a shop for them to help you. cause i cant .

It's a con rod for sure, even though you can't really hear it when it's cold the oil is thicker, as it warms up the oil thins out and it'll get louder
