...but would struggle to stay running? i have a 1995 gmc extended cab truck wit ha brand new battery and now it wont start it just turns over it use to start but would struggle to stay running and would smoke a some out the mufflerive only had the truck for a week i took it to a mechanic and he says that i need a fuel pump and my truck is giving the map sensor code he put a chip or map sensor in my truck and it is still giving the code he thinks that is why it is running rich my question is if i replace the fuel pump do you think my truck will run the fuel filter looks old should i replace that as well the truck has 229,000 miles
