be? ive changed the serpentine belt already and it temporarily stopped. then it started up again about a week later and when i sprayed belt conditioner on it it got way worse and louder... then my dad sprayed WD40 on after the conditioner which i think could have made it worse. should i just go buy a new belt again?

remove belt, clean all pulley races with solvent. get all that crap off there. check idler pulley/spring. check all other components for bearing/pulley issues, get new belt (don't re-use the old one), install, adjust.
keep WD-40 away from races and belt. in part, it's a lubricant.
