...do you think the prob could be.? I have a 72 Chevy truck, when I step on the gas to hard the truck dies. Also when the truck is cold I need to hold the gas pedal down until the truck warms up or if I dont and let off the gas the truck will die, but when it is warmed up it is fine, unless I step on the gas to hard. What do you think the prob could be. Thank you for your time and your help. Thanks Justin

clean the carbs. change the distributor cap and rotor.

Install a new air cleaner & put some fuel injection/carburetor cleaner in the gas.

go through basic tune up carb fuel filter air filter all electrical

Sounds like the choke is stuck open on the carb
Clean and spray lube the linkage
