I have a gas cook-top that keeps clicking?

I cleaned my cook-top and the electronic pilot keeps clicking and will not go off!!! I finally had to unplug it so now I have to use a match to light the burners. The top is only slightly over 1 yr old and I spent a lot of $$ for it thinking It would probably be the last one I would have to buy at my age. I cook a LOT for 2 grandchildren in their teens.The company is GE and I didn't buy the extra coverage on it ,thinking I wouldn't have trouble with it. Now they want to charge me $130.00 to come ck it plus any parts it might need.Hell,Im still making payments on the thing. I am so angy and I have been having to light it with a match for 2 weeks now even Through all the Thanksgiving cooking. HELP PLEASE if you can.Thank you!!!
So if the circuit board got wet wouldnt it dry out or what can I do myself??
