I have a invention that should be in every car on the road for safety reasons. Who can I contact at ford,gm toyota etc. Should I go elsewhere first? Any help would be appreciated

Probably better to go to the sub-contractor that makes that type of part for all the car makers. To decide which, that will be a job for a research librarian to help you with.
