I have a Lumix Panasonic dmc-fx3, I want to know the memory card that can

hold 1,000 or more photos.? It is a 6.00 Megapixels camera. I got a 256mb sd card and it could only hold 45 photos last night so I wasnt able to take more pictures at my senior prom .
I also had a 1.0gb camera left in the car thinking my 256mb card would've held more. I got it from a friend and it held more than 200 photos. I deleted them in my camera but I only could save 45 when taking my new pictures last night. That was weird hmm?? =/ What have you been using that works great? =]
