timing belt side.? About a month and a half ago it started out a drip here and there than by now when the car is driving or running it is one drip right after another, if i drive for an hour it drips a couple of court of oil out, it is really bad, other than this this car passed smog recently and is in great shape on the original engine. it has 407,070 miles on it and the car is in great shape. Where do you think it is leaking from and is it worth fixing this engine.

Thank you so much!

Sure it's worth fixing if it runs good... it is most likely coming from the cam seal or the front main seal.. my as well do the timing belt at the same time cause you have to take it off to get to it... :)

You need to find out where the exact area is. Try some engine cleaner and a pressure wash. Just be care ful not to hit the wires or components to hard. Or take it to have the engine cleaned. Then you can see where the leak really is. And get an estimate if it is worth fixing or not.

The cam seal. If it starts leaking it will get on the timing belt and leak like a sieve.
There is something you may not be aware of. That oil leaking on the timing belt will weaken it and over time it will break. Fix the leak and replace the belt.
