I have a quiz on a homework tomorrow and i didn't do the homework?

My math teacher gave us an assignment in a book. I didn't do said assignment because I can't find my book, i told her that before it was due (told her on fri and it's due mon, aka tomorrow) and she said i had to get a blank copy from a friend. I couldn't find one and now it's late at night. The quiz im not worried about, i always do good on it because i can just guess the answers (50% of the quiz is copying down answers from the homework), but how do i tell her that i didn't do it without her getting mad. She's a real hard ass.

Be honest. Look her right in the eye, and use lots of "grown up" words to sound intelligent. Stand straight up. Try to get there early and tell her before school to avoid public humiliation. Write a detailed apology letter as soon as you get home fom school and hand it in personally. Ask questions in future classes to show that you care. Hopefully this should get you off the hook or at least earn you some of her respect.
