...t-mobile service? And does GSM mean that you can use it with ANY cellular service provider and ANY sim card?

Put your sim in your phone and when you turn it on it will say rejected sim if it says that then it will not work.........and the best way is to get you IMEI number off the back of your phone andget your sim card number and call your service provider and tell themyou would like to activate your simwith your new phone.

Do you have unlocked or a locked phone ? If your phone is carrier locked phone, you need to unlock it from your current carrier or from any of the online service providers like TheUnlockArena.com to unlock it . If your phone is an unlocked phone , you can use it with any other GSM carriers in the world .
