rumors about me how can I stop him? He is degrading me in my small home town, and once you have said something to a handful of people it get around town fast. I have called the PD and there is nothing they can do because he is not calling me directly. So I just ask of all you people what steps I can take so I am no longer left hurting and crying in bed at night. My boyfriend has asked him to stop several times and it still happens. My mother in law has asked him to stop but he still does it and he is very verbally abusive to her so it doesn't seem to help in either case.
