now it runs funny and turns off? i have a vw bug and i recently ran out of gas i put gas back in it but now it runs funny and turns off it turns on but i need to be reving it so it stays on what can it be ?

prolly sucked up some residual crap from the tank. find the fuel filter b4 the the injectors and replace. if that doesn't work, then you prolly have to pull the pump from the tank and clean or replace the sock filter on the end of the pu tube.

then put some stp in the tank at the next fill up b4 you pump.
