my probation was set for a year since feb 28,2008 and it is past my end period which was feb 02,2009 I have had trouble finding a job an I wrote a letter 2 my probation officer telling him why and now I have a warrant 2 weeks later. I would like to know that if since it is past my probation period can I file for an appeal while I am locked up or will they continue my probation. will I be in jail until I can pay my fines or will I be cut lose after a certain amount of time . or can I pay half of my probation and have time served?

Probation is probation.

In simple terms, you had conditions to meet in order to stay out of jail. It sounds like you didn't live up to your end of the bargain.

You must get a release from probation or you will wind up in jail again...

The clock stopped running on the date violated. It will not continue until you are apprehended. At that time, you will have to serve whatever time was remaining when you violated.

That would be in addition to any other penalties they impose for the violation itself.

If you had not completed ALL the terms of your probation, including paying fees/fines/restitution, the probation department can not let your case close. A warrant is issued and at that time your TIME is frozen, until you go before a Judge for a Revocation Hearing or the warrant is withdrawn do to completing/fixing what caused the warrant to be issued.

You may be revoked in full an serve your original sentence in prison
