I have connected a Linksys router to my modem. Now my desktop computer's Internet

runs slow or don't work.? The Internet on the wireless laptop seems to run better than the desktop. Before, my Internet on the desktop ran fast and I hardly had any problems with it. After connecting the wireless Linksys router, the Internet on the desktop either doesn't work or runs very slow. How do I fix this?
