...blowing out ice cold air 1997 pontiac? please help, its a bonneville-- at first my heat would only come on in the morning, now it keeps coming on but blowing out ice cold air.

sounds like you coolant is low... that would cause the motor to over heat making the temp light to blink.. and with low coolant the water pump can not move enough water to push it into the heating system so your getting no heat out of the heater.
Check the coolant in the radiator its self not the over flow tank. with the motor cold the coolant should be to the top of the radiator or no more than 1" from the top.

Pretty soon your car will overheat.

Find the leak.
