I have lost my iPhone, I have not installed any tracking apps, will I get it back ?

I recently lost my iPhone, I have heard apps like Find My iPhone but I never installed any of them. Will I still be able to track my phone even when I didnt install it when I had it ? Also, what if someone has found it and turn off my phone, can I track it if I have installed the app ? I am really worried, please help ! Thanks !

welcome to the club, i lost it like a month ago, still hurts, but you wont get it..get over it, i have asked all the questions u needed to ask...
