i have motorola xt502 which has an os android 2.1,i recently upgraded to 2.3.7 and?

now a friend of mine said that i can update to 4.1.2 jellybean.but when i googled,only they give zip files to download for particular phones.if, i download motorola razr or other type of motorola and installed zip file into my phone,will it work or will my phone get damaged?please tell me?

no it wont work as ur phone wasnt engineered to get that update ie. . .hardware wont support the update and ur phone may get damaged.
