Lately it feels like I just can't do anything. I'll start a project and then stop it mid way. I recently dropped out of high school because the pressure was just really getting to me. I would get sick nearly every week last year during school. Which caused me to stay home, therefore I didn't learn the material and my grades dropped. (I use to be an A student, now I turned in a D.) So for my health I decided to drop out and get a GED. But even taking away school, I have no motivation to leave my bed. To do anything. I just sit here all day, eat a meal and never sleep. I've been having night terrors a lot lately so my sleeping is irregular.
I'm pretty sure I have depression, because I feel completely worthless. I've been like this for about 3 year now, but it started spiraling downward this past year. I don't want to be this way, but my parents think it's just a "phase".
I really think I should check into the local mental hospital for treatment, but my parents are really hesitant. So my question is, how can I help my mental state without professional help?
