If that is true, does that mean crying is bad for you and will make you feel worse?

First I lost my job, then my fiancee, then my car was totaled.

I cry at the drop of a hat,I am so sad it gets hard to move.I hate mornings with a passion, having to live through another day.I cry constantly at home alone and in front of groups of people(that's really embarrassing and definitely makes me feel worse.I want to hide).

Am I getting more upset by the constant crying or am I getting better?
All three horrible events happened within an eight week time span.Starting in Feb,and ending in April. It's a heavy load to happen all at once.

depression is psychologically unhealthy, and emotions are basically chemicals, and a constant release of the chemicals that make up depression causes your body to be unhealthy.
laughter leads to positivity and will power and a good mentality, and there's been alot of studies in which cancer patients that have a positive outlook live alot longer than depressed cancer patients.

so yes, depression is unhealthy and happiness is a good cure.

Do not continue to cry and grieve, allow time to get over it and heal. In the meantime look to the future and see that there is hope. Preoccupation with the past will lead to defeat but doing the right things and planning for the future will lead to a good outcome.

"There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven:
A time to be born and a time to die,
A time to plant and a time to uproot,
A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance"
(Ecclesiastes 3:1,2,4)

You are indeed correct, laughter is good medicine:
"A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones." (Proverbs 17:22)

Spend time with the Lord, call on Him, He understands your sorrow and will comfort you.
"The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)

Be blessed.
