I hit my head on the ice just 10 minutes ago and now its bleeding and

big goose egg!!! HELP ME/!? K so im going to the er in a min but my dad is coming home. Its a massive goose egg on my forehead. Its bleeding but not gushing blood. It aching like the dickens and im shakey and a lil dizzy. I may have a concussion or not? Plus i hit it so hard my neck hurts like the dickens too....what is gonn happen at E.R?
I laughed really hard when i did it even though i was in pain, i feel like slowed down, dizzy , kinda foggy headache and like shakey think i have a concusionn
I live in winnipeg lol....what comes with winnipeg weather :)
 
yes, it's good that you're going to the ER. Head injuries like that can be very serious and even fatal if not treated asap. Take Natasha Richardson for example, so sad. But she was laughing and joking after her accident, and didn't get the treatment she needed in time. They'll take some tests and you'll probably get an MRI (I think that's the right one). Make sure you tell them EVERYTHING. Including the laughter and everything else.
 
At the ER mostly they will watch your reflexes and check that you are responding well. Try not to worry about it. Put an ice pack on it now to reduce the swelling.
 
Definitely go have a doctor check it out. Head injuries can sometimes seem fine at first and then as time goes on they can become very serious. Especially in light of recent events, go have that checked out.
