I jail broke my itouch and in Cydia the screen wont stop loading?

yeah, like i was downloading winterboard and i clicked install and the loading screen has been going on for a bout an hour. My screen is not closing, it is practically useless. I saw methods that u shut it down but my lock button is broken so i use assistive touch to close. HELP!
