I bought a 02 Allroad a few weeks ago with 100k and was hoping to get some preventive maintenance done to keep it on the road. I already plan on switching out the front suspension with aftermarket Arnott bags with lifetime warranty. Is there anything I can do to ensure the turbo will last longer. also, I'm noticing a little bit of lag in the acceleration when I accelerate from a complete stop. Hope its not a sign of the transmission going out, because thats another concern I heard these cars have had problems with at 100k, but either way, I'm going to purchase a warranty on the vehicle just in case. Anyone have any maintenance tips I can get done for cheap that will lengthen the life of the car. It rides great (asside from the acceleration) I was told I will need to replace the control arms soon, any idea on cost or how easy it is to do in my driveway? also, the in dash display is being dumb, sometimes it looks perfect, sometimes half the screen is faded, sometimes the whol screen is faded. any ideas?

Change the oil and go with the best full synthetic you can find and this will help keep the turbos properly lubricated. Change and upgrade your sparks plugs. Cold air intake to help the engine breath better and burn the fuel. Check all of your bushings as well. All of this shouldnt cost you too much and youll notice the difference.
