i just bought i a violet golby/dragon fish and i have questions about food?

i just bought i a violet golby/dragon fish and i also bought baby shrimp for it to eat. The shrimp are baby sundried gammarus, they're pretty small and i can break them up a little to make them smaller. Will my golby eat this? or should i get other food?
