I just got a google android superpad and Skype ?

When I attempt to watch Skype on my google superpad... Android... Skype picture is always vertical and I can't change it to horizontal... I also can't see the person I'm calling... Can anyone please help??? I'm not a tech head so I'm lost... Thanks...
