I might have to get tubes?

my aunt said that her ears are bad. like her ears didnt pop right so she had to get tubes. and my ears feel very dirty and i feel like i might have to get tubes too. im scared to go to a doctor becausee i don't want a needle or anything. & she said they had to put her to sleep with anestesia(idk if i spelled that right) does that mean i have to get a needle to get put to sleep?!?!?! i'm so scared!! does tubes hurt!??!! does it hurt after surgery!?!?! help!!!!
