Smash Potatoes.
Nuff said.
I like to boil mine with lots of fresh onion and garlic.
After the spuds are tender you drain off the water, add heavy cream and 2 eggs and whip the hell out of them with a blender (salt and pepper to taste of course).
Top with shredded, well aged, sharp cheddar and put the whole pile in the oven at 400 for half an hour.
Don't need gravy for that.
