I have a cheap sub box that puts out about 300watts and i am looking to buy two kicker DS60 speakers (about 90watts a piece), i was wondering if first, i need a amp to power both and second if i can use just any stereo unit to control them or do i need a special one?

You will have to see if your sub box already has an amp with it or not. If it does then you don't need another one, unless you are using it to run other speakers.

Then you will have measure across one of the hole(s)(the longest part of the hole) where the speaker would go in your sub box and see if it is the same size as the Kicker speakers.

As for the stereo, it all depends on the type of amp you have or are going to buy. Most amps take RCA type inputs, so your stereo unit will require RCA out if so.

Hope this help you to make some BASS!!!

You will want to get an amp to support your subs. And you can use any stereo but i don't recommened any stock stereo.

Anytime you get a sub your going to want to get an amp with it... and almost any newer stereo unit will work.(check first though) its needs to have a place to plug in 2 black and white plugs
