i need help w/ my internet?

i need help. everytime a phone rings, my internet stops working and i have att&t yahoo dsl and the phone works but it just messes up my internet connection and i just have to wait until my box turns green. ive checked and made sure that i pluged in everything that im supposed to plug and whre to plug it. so wat do i do?n wats wrong?
