my female is prego and she should give birth soon i have taken my male out like people suggested and i put him in my smaller tank its like 1 1/2 ft square big enough for him and food and water and i put him in the tank in with my female in the bigger tank and they are like trying to get to each other and are freaking out should i just leave him in with the female or what please help

Normally 1st time moms need to be seperated from the father or they will eat their babies. After that you can leave the father with the mother for other times. This actually varies depending on the personalities of the mice.

leave em 2getha, would u want to be away from your mate while they are preg?? didnt think so

Well the female might go all ***** on him so you should seperate them and dont worry the dude will see his honey once the babies are ready to go to a good home

You should try looking up what to do on a website (under the breeding section). I used to have gerbils, and whenever the female was about to have birth I just left the male in there. He never did anything bad, in fact he may have helped. But he never did any harm. In the wild, mice usually stay together, so it shouldn't be a problem to keep them together. Just make sure you don't touch the babies, or else the parents will kill them. And just to be sure, try looking it up on a couple of websites! It'll only take 15 minutes.
