I need some help with my motorola v3i please?

Here is the trouble I am having. I just recently bought a purple razor v3i from ebay. It is apparently an unbranded cell phone. I wanted to use it on ATT/Cingular network which is the same network that the person I bought it from used it on. When I received the phone I charged it up and transferred all the music from my old razor to this one and started to use it. First problem to show up is that I cannot connect to the web browser at all. Second problem is I cant check my voice mail because now I need a box number and I have never needed that before. third problem is that even though I have assigned certain people with certain songs the same song plays for everyone. Third problem is that when people call me I cant see who it is only their numbers. I have taken it to att and asked about it and they said I need a software update but I am not sure what that means. So if anyone can please help me resolve these issues I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
 
that's a risk you take when buy cell phones from others instead of your wireless company most of the cell you buy on eBay even if they say are new have problems have gotten two cell phones off eBay and only last me a few months a they said they were new sometimes they are refurbish cells malfunction from manufactures and sold i learn my lesson in buy for eBay its just a risk you take go to site below for updating your cell .hope you luck
