How much older he is?
But the fact remain if he makes you happy and he haven't been divorce a couple of times, then why doesn't he want to meet them,There must be some other reasons.
Also meeting your parents who are more mature seems to me that he is hiding something, and that he is afraid they might see through him.

Take Care.

I'm assuming it's about your age...? People who are really ready to be considering marriage are typically not afraid to divulge something like that to family. If he's that worried about their reaction, he's not quite mature enough or committed enough.

He is your boyfriend... You haven't mentioned that your engaged or about to get married. Why worry his parents with something when what you have is a new relationship? If it does evolve to the stage where they are going to be your inlaws, then tell them... But if your boyfriend can't even understand why they need to know, then maybe they really don't need to know.

If he wants you to lie about your age it means that he feels that your relationship is inappropriate enough to alter the facts about. Therefore, at least in his mind, there's something inherently wrong with his view of your relationship.
