k i had a friend who had a labrador dog but she was moving abroad and could no longer look after her so i took her in. she also had a male labrador but he went to a different home.once i got her home i was told she was just finishing her season when i asked if she was preg my friend just said she wasnt sure. this was on the 10 august. the dog has got a little fatter since and nipples are a bit pinker. i have felt her tum and its hard but im not sure if it was always like this. i havnt got the money together yet o take her to the vet. with the dates i have given would i be seeing more obvious signs of pregnancy

Well I don't know, but I will say I had a relative who had a dog once that had a "fake" pregnancy..which I guess is sort of common in dogs. Her breasts got all saggy and swollen and she looked pregnant, but she wasn't.

Usually, yes, you would be seeing more obvious signs. Since you do not know the dog well, it will be tough for you to know any difference in her. Her teats should be swollen and she should be developing milk by now. However, not enough to where you will be able to squeeze them for it to come out. Just keep an eye on her belly and teats. If her belly becomes larger, rounder, and harder with her teats swelling and you will be able to feel her mammary glands she will develop during pregnancy. If you cannot see a change or feel the glands within a week, it is likely that she is not pregnant.
