I pre-ordered an Iphone. Now What?

My mom pre-ordered my Verizon Iphone on the 3rd for me, and I am so excited. However, I am a little confused. Will I receive my phone earlier than those who did not pre-order it? What were the benefits of doing that? Do I still need to pick it up on the 10th or will it be sent to my house?

Check the tracking number and track it they send it to your email, I got mine today but I do live in California( they shipped mine from california), but it should be on the way.
