I read the first Hunger Games, should I read Catching Fire?

I knew about and read the Hunger Games all before the hype it's getting now. But at around the time I was reading it, I spoiled the two other books for myself. Well, I forgot everything that had happened, so should I now give it a chance? I'm not attempting to read Mockingjay lol, I heard it was really bad.
