I replacement my thermostat on my 97 saturn sl and still don't have any...

...heat. What should I try next? Even after this change there is no heat and temp gauge still reads 1/4. What would be the next thing I should replace? What else could be causing my lack of heat.
I should add that I assumed it was the thermostat from the beginning so replaced it and refilled the system. Afterwards, i tested the old one by boiling it and checking the temperature of the water and it opened and closed fine leading me to assume again that it's now not or never was a thermostat issue.

Usually if you don't have heat your heater core has gone bad or it is plugged. the thermostat is made to open to circulate the coolant when the engine gets hot enough that's it needs to be cooled. If your engine never overheated before you changed the thermostat its most likely something to do with the heater core.
