I spilled wine on my laptop toshiba 5005s satellite keyboard and I tried to clean it up with compressed air and wd40 but now the keys need to be pressed real hard to work and some don't at all. I tried taking the whole thing apart but got stuck on a fastener somewhere or a latch I cant see. How can I fix it, is there a disassembly diagram somewhere, it is probably loaded with dust as well as it has overheat problems.

The wine was bad enough but adding a petrolium based substance like WD40 is even worse it will have to be diasemble and cleaned because all this can get into the electronics and cause it to short out and burn up the lap top. Do not use until repaired and cleaned properly. Take it to a computer repair center if you have nevr had one appart, to many things you could do to damage it further.
Hope this helps

Hi. Bassman 1 is right, but you can replace the keyboard on your own. Not as hard as it sounds. That was the first thing I replaced on my laptop. http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=deskbar&q=toshiba+5005s+keyboard
