I spit out snot with blood?

I rcently had a sore throat and a fever in the middle of the night which caused my throat to dry up. Recently when I snort or breathe in through my nose very hard and then you spit the snot out, You know what I mean right? so then I see something that looks like blood in the snot. what's going on? Thanks for reading.
