I think I have discovered something about myself that is quite interesting?

Not too long ago, I was bitted by a deer tick. I became infected with some sort of tick-borne illness. I suspected it was lyme disease but I wasn't sure. The doctor put me on an antibiotic called doxycycline. I took the medication very carefully.

Later, I began to notice that I was getting athletes foot, and constant stomach upset. I was also having anxiety attacks, and bouts of depression. I suspected that the antibiotic had caused me to have yeast overgrowth in the intestines. My question is: Could there be a link between candida overgrowth and mental illness?

Molds can produce toxins that can cause a person to feel depressed.
It seems that some natural remedies like cayenne pepper, or oregano oil make me feel much better. These two thing have also been know to help against yeast overgrowth in the intestines.

i suggest stop taking the antibiotic and talk to your doctor about all these possible side effects of this antibiotic i have 1 question did u look at the back of the antibiotics and check the side effects?!?!? if not i would do that ASAP but yea tell your doctor it could be a side effect from the antibiotics or from lyme disease although i doubt its a side effect from lyme disease because my sister had lyme disease and that never happened to her so yea tell your doctor its probably a side effect of the antibiotics

happy to help - Ryan
