I think I've stumbled onto some future technology.?

I found this iPad looking device buried out in the desert near my house. It's super thin. It's by a company I've never hear off. The symbol on the back resembles an atom. The material its made out of is is incredibly strong yet light. Some sore of metal alloy I'm not familiar with. It's screen is a holographic touch screen and it's battery NEVER dies. I've had it on for 3 weeks now. I can place the device on my table and it projects an image that looks exactly like it would on my 1080p TV if not better. It says 750 PB under its hard drive. Its date says 5/8/2086. Aside from the date, the world map on it isn't accurate either. It has a country called the North American Union over what is suppose to be the US, Canada and part of Mexico. It has another world map that doesn't even look like Earth. I couldn't connect it to the internet for some reason. I don't think the hardware is compatible with my wifi. In fact I couldn't even find an option to connect to any wifi whatsoever.

What is this thing? What should I do with it?
What the heck is powering this device? I'm afraid to open it.
