Hi, I own a 1987 mazda b2600 truck and just went out on a trail for the first time. I hit a couple rocks, but nothing too bad. Afterwards I noticed coolant leaking from the gasket between the engine and what I believe is the oil pan. The gasket looks stock and is really crusty and dried out, as anything rubber from 1987 would be expected to look. I figure that I just aggitated an already weak gasket and it should simply be replaced now, but is this the oil pan or what??? The leak is absolutely coming from a crack in the rubber gasket and not trailing off a hose or anything like that. I drove home about 30 miles while refilling the coolant every 10 miles and didnt experience any overheating or smoke from my tailpipe. It ran perfect!!
Whats going on here, and is it possible to just trace the gasket with some kind of sealant or do I need to entirely replace the gasket???

well truth is if your leaking coolant from oil pan you have a big problem since shouldnt be any coolant in oil pan at all that would be really imposible to do so either you have a busted block or a freeze plug or a bad hose
