I think there's something wrong with my phone? Samsung Impression.?

I have the samsung impression, and when you get a message theres a little thing that pops up like every other phone saying 1 new message. So now, i think theres something wrong with it because it says 2 new messages when i only have 1 and when i have 2 it says 3 new messages.
I deleted all my messages and it says that, I turned off my phone for 1-2 hours and it still says that. even though it's not making a huge disaster or anything it's still bugging me. Please help. Thank you.

Try taking the battery out with the phone powered on. That will reset the phone and, hopefully, resolve the issue you are having with your phone. I have had to do this with past cell phones and it cleared up bugs and glitches I was having with my phones.

I had the samsung solstice which is the same thing as samsung impression. and it kept telling me the same thing. I eventually went away. If it's reallly bothersome reset to phone.
