I'm 16 and he's 19. Hes completely understanding with me. Ive dealt with alot over the past few years and he totally gets it and is always making sure i'm always first. He's such a gentleman. Anyway, a few days ago we were taking a walk and he hugged me and randomly said ''So if i asked you to kiss me would that be taking things too fast?'' and i told him i wasn't ready for that yet. I was just comfortable with holding hands, hugging, cuddling, etc. and he understood. and since then hes just been doing the same stuff and has respected my wishes by taking things slow. But now i think i'm ready for a kiss because i really know how much i like him now. How do i let him know im ready without making it awkward?

He isn't going to think this is awkward at all. Get to a place and time appropriate for kissing him and say, "George, do you remember asking me if I thought if you kissed me it would be talking things too fast? Well, I've thought about it and I've decided it's not too fast - and you better kiss me quick or I'm going to kick your butt."

The humorous ending takes all the awkwardness out of it. Good luck.

Aw that's so cute that he respects you like that :') you can go two ways about it..
1) you can kiss him! I assure you he wont mind at all and guys like it when girls take control. When you guys are walking or cuddling just turn to him, smile, and then kiss him lightly on the lips.
2) or when you guys are say cuddled on the couch just talking or whatever, you could say to him 'you gonna give me a kiss?' or 'do you wanna kiss me?' and do it all innocently. Guys find that cute ^-^
Good luck :D x
