i took the birthcontrol shot for the first time yesterday & now im worried,,would...

...it affect me in the future? would it affect my fertility? would it make me not able to conceive? i already have made up my mind about not taking it ever again.. i just stopped taking the pill almost four moths ago because it made me very sick and my fiance' and i were trying to conceive but ran into some financial issues...and just yesterday he called me with good news,,but i had already taken the shot( wish i would've talked to him first)..do you think it will be long before i can get pregnant after getting off of the shot? how long?
 
I was on the depo shot for 1.5 yrs and as soon as I got off I got pregnant. It will not cause fertility problems however it can slow down your metabolism. So watch your eating and maintain daily exercise, other than that just wait the 3 months, I believe is what it is, and when you get off wait until you have your cycle again and you will be ok! Good luck to the both of you!
