I understand Jimmy Carter recently wrote a book and is on a book tour. Why...

...would anyone buy it? This man was the second worst president in US history- (Obama clinched the number one spot in less than one year in office). What could this dried up old peanut farmer who is a national embarrassment possibly have of interest to say and who would read it?

Probobly the same people that read An Idiots Guide books. This one could be called An Idiots Guide on how to be a US President

You're probably one of those people that sat complaining about George W. Bush while he was president. One of those people that like to bitch & whine about everything & are never happy, simply for the sake of not being happy.

He was a nice chap, OK he may not have been good at his Job, but he was a good chap. I would buy his book and would love to meet the guy so he could sign it.

You obviously won't. You have a very warped view of history and would not read anything that would contradict your right wing ideology.

The same reason someone would buy a book by a neocon talking head - it suits their viewpoint. When the worst president in US history, George W. Bush, publishes his book, I'm sure the neocons will rush on over to Amazon.

Nobody will buy it. It will prove fun to hear the left wing liberal Democrat bias media try to spin it that books are just flying off the shelves!

I consider Jimmy Carter to be a national treasure.

He brokered the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt in 1977. How can that not be a major victory of his presidency?

He has written 26 books, worked with Habitat for Humanity, monitored third world elections and disasters, worked at diplomatic missions as a private citizen during Clinton administration.

He just returned from North Korea and got two Americans released. Where did you get your ideas from?

You ask a lot of questions on Yahoo. If you were to spend some of your time reading and doing a little research, you would be able to answer some of your questions on your own.

The answer to this question is rather obvious. I imagine people would buy Carter's book because they were interested in reading it. Those who aren't interested, don't have to buy it.
